It is late and I have been going since 6:00. It has been such a day! I am in Dahman now,at the compound for Aramco employees. We toured the company museum which was incredibly interesting. I know a lot about oil now. Then we toured another Aramco building which had the largest computer center in the world..and each geologist had 3 screens to watch. They were supervising drilling oil hundreds miles away. Freaky! Then to a banquet..food food food. Yum..
I managed to get a bit of yoga in this morning. When I looked up I saw the sign below. It points to Mecca. I should have done my downward dog facing Mecca. Who knows?
I saw this car in the parking lot where we had lunch. "Wash Me" in Arabic!!
And finally..I got fitted for my abaya..and heerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreeee it is. Cool, huh? I will start wearing it Monday.
Tomorrow we go to another tour..then to the desert to see camels and ride a camel!!!
Until then.. I send my love to you all..

What a wonderful day! You look lovely in your abaya. It is very beautiful. You will need to wear it if they keep feeding you this way!
What a lot of things you are learning.
It is a snowy day in Boise. I have been wrapping gifts to mail and listening to Christmas music, Feliz Navidad....
I just talked to Tom and he is waiting for Greta to arrive, hoping that the planes is on time with this snow. I will get them to the airport Tuesday. Good news from her MRI. It looks as if the bacteria is slowly going away, out of Greta's brain. Keep in touch..
Hi Pam,
Good job sending the BLOG at such a late hour and after such a busy and interesting day. So gas is $1.65 I noticed today, did you learn why the fluctuation? Ah yes, Meca one must face it during your 5 times per day prayer and visit it once in your life time, it is a pilgrimage journey, as you are learning I am sure, many many do visit it each year. Today I did my long run with Jim on his bike and Shammy at my side for part of it then in the bike basket and then we went shopping for stocking stuffers and visited Mom. It is cool here and we are expecting rain. I am so proud of your adventurous spirit.
Love,
Penny
Mom-
Keep up with the blogging, despite the slow computers- we like seeing your adventures. You look lovely in your abaya! So cool!! (Is it okay that your hair shows a little or is that a no-no?)
All packed for Ecuador. Woke up to snow in Missoula, had pastries with Josh and headed off on a set of bumpy flights to Boise. It's good to be home but I am excited for our trip.
Lots of love!!!
Greta
